Discover the world of koi

The Sanke is, like the Showa a three-coloured koi of the Go Sanke group. The koi has red and black markings on a white base colour. Breeding this variety is considered difficult.

Among koikichi (koi enthusiasts) he is also known by the name Taisho Sanshoku.

The black colouring corresponds to that of a Bekko and the red pattern to that of a Kohaku. A specimen of this variety should therefore show a red head marking. As with the Shiro Bekko there should, however, be no black on the head.
